Hilton debuts its Garden Inn brand in the Philippines with new hotels in Manila’s Quezon City and Cebu’s Mactan Island.
PHILIPPINES – Hilton has announced the signing of two new properties in the Philippines: Hilton Garden Inn Manila Quezon City and Hilton Garden Inn Cebu Mactan. The openings mark the introduction of the Hilton Garden Inn brand in the country and will expand Hilton’s local presence from three to five hotels.
The announcement follows Hilton’s broader regional strategy to grow its focused service offerings in Southeast Asia. The company plans to more than triple its focused service portfolio in the region, increasing the number of Hilton Garden Inn properties from 12 to 40 in the coming years. Currently, Hilton operates 102 properties in Southeast Asia.
Hilton Garden Inn Manila Quezon City
Hilton Garden Inn Manila Quezon City will be located in Quezon City’s Central Business District, one of Metro Manila’s largest and most populous areas. The property will be part of a mixed-use complex and feature 210 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, meeting spaces covering over 450 square meters, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center. The location offers direct access to Metro Manila’s mass transit and proximity to attractions such as the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The property aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers, as well as those attending events in the city. Quezon City continues to emerge as a hub for commerce and culture within the capital region.
“With the Philippines’ growing prominence as a tourist destination, our partnership with Hilton enables us to tap into this exciting growth opportunity. The upcoming Hilton Garden Inn Manila Quezon City not only supports the country’s burgeoning tourism industry, it will provide travelers with more value-driven accommodation options to experience the charm and vibrancy of Manila,” said Mikka Maglanque, President, MegaGlobal Investment Corporation.
Hilton Garden Inn Cebu Mactan
Hilton Garden Inn Cebu Mactan will be located on Mactan Island, just off the coast of Cebu City and approximately 25 minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The property will feature 151 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, fitness center, and event spaces totaling up to 350 square meters. It will be part of a mixed-use development, offering access to retail and dining options.
Mactan Island is a gateway to Cebu’s marine tourism attractions and nearby islands. The new hotel is positioned to serve a wide range of travelers, including business guests, leisure visitors, and transit passengers.
Both properties will participate in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s global loyalty program. Members will have access to exclusive booking benefits and flexible payment options.
These developments signal Hilton’s continued commitment to expanding its mid-market hotel presence across Southeast Asia while supporting local tourism growth in the Philippines.
“Cebu’s vibrant culture, stunning natural beauty and thriving economy has made it a sought-after destination for travelers from around the world. Partnering with Hilton reflects our commitment to developing Cebu’s tourism industry and elevating the guest experience through upscale focused service offerings,” said Sherwin Uy, CEO of Primeworld Land Holdings Inc.
